Close with a Wand, Begin with A...

The past few days have been slow, filled with anticipation but overral pretty lovely. Yesterday we had off and decided to take a walk to the Reenagross Park (which some of the photos below are from) and found ourselves in quite a magikal little world! Ireland is very clearly breath-takingly beautiful, of course, but it still, even after a month, never ceases to amaze with its secret faerie dwelling lands! First we walked a bit and found a picnic table overlooking the water through a wide hole in the trees and brush that displayed an army of trees with a hilly mountain on top. It was so perfect infact, we decided to have a seat to paint. It's been very  interesting for me, trying to paint realistically from perspective, since it isn't my natural talent to do so, but it's developing and becoming quite fun. Gotta work with what ya got, eh? After our paint sesh we hiked a little further and approached one the the most charming scenes to date! A Wonderous Rhododendron tunnel which was like nothing I've ever seen before. They were quite massive and went on above and all around us, intermingling and hugging aTop our little heads. There was an outstanding feeling of peace and calmness surrounding. Super lovely.
Since we became very hungry on our walk, we decided to stop at our favorite adorable tea shop from before, and get ourselves some organic tea and the quiche platters. Still one of the most pleasing dining experiences to date. Plus the waitress is very cute and made a funny noise that really surprised us and the woman  who owns it had a kind way about her and always seems genuine. We walked about town a bit and Mimi found a Hematite bracelet to replace her Black Tourmaline from a jewelry makers stand.
We walked back towards Peafield and Mimi really got a "wooley" for a pie or something of the sort so we got tarts and whipped cream-which turned out to be whippING cream- at the gas station. We ate it in the cemetery and it was still good, just kind of weird and messy.
We got back to Mike's and basically just read all day, which we have been doing most of the later part of today as well. But that night we got some Druid ciders and had lovely conversation at our arch in the cemetery. It was really beautiful there at night but eventually became tooo cold and we continued our conv0s at Mike's.
Today we didn't really have anything to eat for breakfast and we were starving as usual when we wake up. Luckily Mike was heading into town which was grand timing. As we were walking to a cafe, I noticed in after-Thought that my eyes saw a WAND MAKER VENDOR tucked inbetween two people's stands that were there yesterday. I stopped with a "what!? a wand maker?!" and we retracted a few steps. The wands were amazing and twirling and made a all types of beautiful wood. The wand maker was a sweet, old wizard looking  guy holding the tiniest, cutest pup of all time! We told him we'd be back to pick out our wands after breakfast. We were very excited and went in to have a very delicious, but chaotic  breakfast of pancakes that were like crepes and a classic bowl of porridge. Since the family next to had very little control of their sugar-high children, we gulped down our coffee and headed back to the wands.
We went right back to the same ones we initially picked up and then looked at eachothers briefly, agreeing they were great! At literally the same exact instant we picked up our wands, which happily surprised all three of us. We knew it was Right and paid the good man a fair wage of £20 for his magikal craft. I even got to hold the world's cutest pup who licked and snugged my face. We stopped by the bridge and held our new wands out to the water and over the tiny kitten's head who was playing by it, and blessed them with the bubbling flow. We left town feeling very thankful and blessed and perfect how Ireland Would give us wands on our last day.
So the rest of the day has been calm and slow. We made a mash of lunch and read a lot. Mimi is done the Space of Love and I almost done my read. Shortly we shall go into town and make some phone calls to the fam before we watch the final Euro Cup game between Spain and Italy. Should be an exciting close to our first month in Ireland!
After 3 busses and 1 flight, we shall have our first sight of London tomorrow night.
Also super amounts of love to our dear James who is heading to explore Mexico and South America tomorrow as well.
NAMASTE!
